Dirty Mountain - Water & Wine
Dirty Mountain is a three-piece ensemble from Victoria, comprised of Elli Hart (vocals/guitar), Gord Light (bass/vocals), and Tom Slater (drums/vocals). They have a bluesy-country-folk-rock feel with storytelling lyrics, just the kind of thing we like. Dirty Mountain has a very intimate-rootsy tone, they make you feel like their songs are true stories that they’re sharing with just you, shhhhhh. For more on Dirty Mountain check out their website at www.dirtymountain.ca
Dylan Rysstad - Things of Luxury

One day my friend Lucy came to visit and she said, "you should do a live session with Dylan Rysstad." Then we drank a bottle of blackberry wine. A month and a half later Daniel and I shot this live session with Dylan.  He's a mix of folk-country with some classic rock influences (you can hear them).

Make sure you check out his other music, and keep your eyes (ears?) open for his new album coming soon. Check it out here: dylanrysstad.com

Song & Surf Music Festival 2015

Song and Surf is a hidden gem of a music festival on Vancouver Island.  Set in Port Renfrew it is the little sister to the summer’s Tall Tree Music Festival. Last February we experienced Song and Surf in all of its winter glory and it proved to be a truly warming and welcoming community. The people who make the pilgrimage to Port Renfrew for this one are all a mixture of wool sweaters, gumboots, knit toques, dirty jeans; the true-west-coast-kids who won’t let anything a minor as a full blown winter storm stop their party.

This is a real-quick-mini-doc on Song and Surf 2015 featuring the voices of that musical community. Written by Meg Cuthbert and narrated by Daniel Pender.

Kristie McCracken - After The Rain

One rainy day in early November Kristie came over and performed "After the Rain" for us. In the editing process Daniel had to enforce a no-singing-along policy, because she has a voice that makes you want to sing, but apparently some of us just shouldn't.

Lovecoast - Sea to Sky
In August 2015 we had the opportunity to ride up the Sea to Sky Gondola and get to know Lovecoast. This rad band has a strong soulful sound with fun pop beats. They have one EP released (Chasing Tides) and are working on their full album this year.

In this video we’d like to introduce you to Lovecoast. Find more on this band at lovecoastmusic.com

Rifflandia & Breakout West

This year’s festival spanned over 20 locations, with 200+ acts performing over 260 hours of live music. Which, if performed on one stage equals 10.8 continuous DAYS of performances. #riffdrawl

Here is our video of the weekend, with just two people it was impossible to capture everything, but we did what we could and had an amazing weekend doing it. We’d like to thank Rifflandia, Breakout West and Atomique Productions for hosting and having us at this amazing event.
