Throwback Thursday - Mt Finlayson / Maple Mountain

This morning Daniel and I hiked up Maple Mountain. It was 22 degrees in the Cowichan Valley this morning and everything smelled like summer. We hiked straight up the side of the mountain to spectacular views of the bay, and at the top we ate oranges. We spent about four hours hiking and it reminded me of the time Raj and I hiked up Mount Finlayson.

So once upon a time, I worked with Rajie Kabli at ShawTV and we would try to find reasons to shoot segments together. Basically we would go on adventures and try to make TV out of it. One time we hiked Mount Finlayson in Victoria's Goldstream park. One afternoon of shooting became two ridiculous segments but no one seemed to notice. Here is one of the Mount Finlayson edits:

This marks an early start to my summer hiking and there will be many more mountain top stories to come. Next time we will bring more sunscreen.
