Steph Macpherson Live Sessions
It was a sweltering day in August when we shot the newest Steph Macpherson Live Sessions. Part of the late summer heat wave that hit Victoria. You may not remember the heat now that December has kicked in, but it was hot. The studio had seven people in it and because of the microphones, the fans and air conditioning had to be turned off. There's no real reason you should know this, other than it shows the resilience of Steph and her crew in being able to stand the heat while committing to kick-ass performances.
We shot three songs with Steph, and I'm pretty sure she could make anything sound lovely. We shot with two gh4's and a g7, so if you have a 4K monitor you can see it in all of its 4k glory. Although, Daniel shoots with old pentax lenses that have great glass and a softer look (because who really wants to see themselves in crisp 4k?). Watch for those signature Daniel Pender lens flares. You know what I mean? So flarey.
